This incredible place is located in the Andes of Peru, in the Cusco region and in the province of Canas, at (4790m / 15715ft) meters above sea level, in an area belonging to the Layo district this beautiful mountain is more known as’ Pallay Punchu of Apu Tacllo.
This beautiful tour also gives you breathtaking views of colorful landscapes and you can also see a beautiful sky-blue lake. Pallay Puchu means (Andean fabric of a poncho) that is why it is named for its geographical formation very much to the Andean fabric called (Andean poncho) that protects from the cold.

Apu Taqllo: Actually the highest mountain around here is the Apu Taqqllo Mountain (5,000 m/16.404 ft). Taqllo means sharp, nowadays we can delight that the 3 mountains are sharp.
Condor Sayana: is the mountain beside Pallay Poncho, the meaning is, where the condor stops. According to the locals from Layo District, The Condors look for any animal who is sick to hunt them.
ItineraryOur day begins in Cusco, where your hotel serves as the starting point. At the early hour of 4:00 a.m., our dedicated adventure and hiking guide, accompanied by a private bus, will be there to pick you up. We’ll then embark on a 3-hour journey to the south of Cusco, specifically to the province of Sicuani.
Upon arrival in Sicuani, we’ll have a hearty breakfast to fuel our day. Following this, we’ll continue our expedition for another hour, leading us to the Layo district, where our bus journey concludes. From this point onwards, the real adventure begins as we set out on foot towards the magnificent Pallay Punchu Mountain of Apu Tacllo. This scenic hike spans 5 kilometers and takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. The summit, which reaches an impressive height of 4790 meters (15715 feet), rewards us with a breathtaking panoramic view of the awe-inspiring Pallay Punchu of Apu Tacllo.
After thoroughly exploring this beautiful location and capturing its beauty in our memories and photographs, we’ll make our way back to our waiting bus, taking in the last few moments of this remarkable place. Once aboard, we’ll return to the Province of Sicuani, where a delectable buffet lunch awaits us. With satisfied appetites, we’ll start our journey back to Cusco, bringing this unforgettable adventure to a close. You’ll depart with unique memories of your experience in the Peruvian Andes that will stay with you forever.
